Pastor Michael DiMarco is passionate about injecting grace into all relationships, especially parenting and discipleship, and seeing churches emphasize restoration over amputation. He is the bestselling Christian author or co-author of more than a dozen books including Die Young, Own It, Independence Day, God Guy, Devotions for the God Guy, and the God Guy Devotional Bible. Known for his witty, conversational, and transparent preaching style, Michael is the Lead Pastor at Friendship Community Church outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
For the past fourteen years, he has served as President and Publisher at Hungry Planet, publishing nearly 50 titles, including 22 bestsellers, dedicated to “feeding the world’s appetite for truth” through books, Bibles, and Bible studies.
Prior to Hungry Planet, Michael worked as a “personal trainer,” training ministry leaders, pastors, and seminary professors on how to use technology to supercharge their Bible study including diving deeper into the original languages of the bible. A frequent guest appearing on Christian media outlets, Michael has been featured on The 700 Club, Family Life Today with Dennis Rainey and Bob Lepine , WAY-FM, and KLOVE, just to name a few.
Michael also is a sought after voice both on stage as a speaker and behind the scenes as a consultant for major conferences and organizations such as the Precept National Convention, Women of Faith, Catalyst, Awana, FUGE Camps, MOPS International, D6 Conference, and Open Doors.
Michael’s wife Hayley is also the bestselling author of more than 40 books, including Mean Girls, Obsessed, God Girl, the God Girl Devotional Bible, The Fruitful Wife and her latest bestselling book and bible study, A Woman Overwhelmed. She has been the featured guest speaker or emcee for such events as Women of Faith, Precept National Women’s Convention, D6 Conference, and MOPS Intl.
Both Michael and Hayley grew up in Oregon and have made Nashville their home since 2004. Before surrendering to a life of ministry over 15 years ago, Michael worked in broadcast communications, hosted talk radio, and coached volleyball at the university level. He and Hayley have been married almost 13 years and she homeschools their 11 year-old daughter from their home on the shores of Old Hickory Lake.
The DiMarcos feel called as missionaries to the Bible Belt and other “churchy” cultures, to both the unreached and the “reached”; those that have missed the point of the gospel, been hurt by the church, or want to be freed from moralism and return to the roots of the New Testament church; one that makes disciples that make disciples.
